What Works Wednesday: Hymnsite.com

What Works Wednesday: Hymnsite.com

By Dan on Wednesday, January 7, 2009

I don’t remember who originally told me about hymnsite.com, but I am glad that they did. It is a very good resource for music.

Here’s a list of things you can do at hymnsite.com:

You can search the lyrics of most hymns in the UMC hymnal as well as Faith We Sing. It has all the lyrics [...]

What Works Wednesday: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

What Works Wednesday: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

By Dan on Wednesday, December 24, 2008

I can’t begin to express how meaningful a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is to me. A community of faith gathers together to recognize the light of Christ delivered as a little baby so long ago, and to share the light of Christ with each other and then take it into the world. It is a wonderful [...]

What Works Wednesday: Fiber One Bars

What Works Wednesday: Fiber One Bars

By Dan on Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Ok, this is already too much information, but it does work. One a day will keep you going.

What Works Wednesday: The Buddy System

What Works Wednesday: The Buddy System

By Dan on Wednesday, November 19, 2008

I have a Seminary buddy. His name is Randall. We met during orientation just before we began our first year. We got to talking, and asked him what he was taking. We were in the same classes. Even our electives were the same. I told him that I do better in school if I have [...]

About Me

Welcome to Church and tea! My name is Dan. I’ve been married to Cindy for 9 years. We have two boys, 7 and 3 years old. I am a Florida native and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Florida and a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. This site is called churchandtea simply because I am a United Methodist Pastor and I love sweet tea. I often find myself trying to solve the world’s problems over a glass of sweet tea. Feel free to pour yourself a glass and join in the discussion!

Anniversary!

Cindy and I will celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary in 5 months and 28 days.
