On Friday, October 21st, ABC will air a special two hour episode where Ty and the gang swoops in to help the Keefer family. Why did this particular episode pop up on my blogging radar? The Keefers are a United Methodist family. The good people at EMHE gave me the opportunity to preview the episode for blogging purposes. Here is my review up the upcoming episode.

Jude uses some strong metaphors to describe troublemakers in the church. Anyone who has been around a large body of water can relate to the power and fear invoked by wild waves. Jude says that troublemakers in the church are “…wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame;” (Jude 1:13a NRSV). These are my reflections on this metaphor…

Part of a series of posts that explore the metaphors found in Jude 12-13. This post explores the metaphor of uprooted trees.
Welcome to Church and tea! My name is Dan. I am a United Methodist pastor in the Alabama-West Florida Conference. This is where I do some reflecting out loud, usually over a glass of sweet tea. Feel free to pour yourself a glass and join me!
